Separation Anxiety Causing Loss of Fur
My cat is 2 1/2 years old. We did have another cat that he grew up with but then she passed away about a year ago. Since then he has been loosing his fur and has scabs all over him.
Anyone have any suggestions on what to do for him? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Could this be separation anxiety? When my husband or I come home he's all over us and won't leave us alone.
I do believe cats grieve, and that separation anxiety can aggravate a lot of physical problems, but it sounds like this is a physical problem that hasn't been properly diagnosed and treated accordingly.

Muscle Clenching from Stress and Anxiety
Is muscle clenching part of anxiety? I find myself clenching my muscles at times throughout the day, even if I am not having anxious thoughts.
I also stop breathing at times (for only a few moments) and realize this and take a breath, or I clench my fists around things when I�m holding them.

Does anyone know of any good anxiety and depression medications that really work? I'm on Prozac and it doesn't work very well.

Couples Dealing with Anxiety Disorder
I went through the Lucinda Basset 15 week program and it has helped me a lot but I'm still struggling with it.
For example we may misinterpret each other and in the process of trying to explain myself I may become withdrawn. He gets mad because I'm not saying anything then tries to get an answer from me. That's when I'll overreact and scream out something like �leave me alone.� He's not perfect either and he knows that.
Anyone with anxiety disorder have advice? Does anyone living in New York City know of a place where I can get affordable therapy or �good� therapy for this?

Anti-depressants make me gain weight but my doctor keeps prescribing them for my anxiety disorder.
Lexapro does work almost immediately on my anxiety and sometimes I take it for a few days and I feel better and then I stop and I'm OK for a few weeks.
Has anyone else tried using Lexapro in this way by the advice of their doctor?
