Anxiety & Panic Attacks at the Dentist
Whenever I go to the doctor or dentist I freak out. I am terrified of needles all together. I am not scared of the pain at all, which is weird.
What is wrong with me? Someone suggested that I may be having anxiety or panic attacks. What can I do to help this?
You have a phobia or irrational fear of needles, which can psychologically induce the physical symptoms that you describe, such as feeling faint, dizzy or nauseous.
