Anxiety Help - How to Stop Anxiety Disorder?

How to Stop Anxiety Disorder?

How can you stop anxiety disorder without a psychiatrist or medicine?

Keep an "anxiety journal." Write down when and where you are anxious, what is happening, who you are with and what you are doing. This can help you identify your "triggers," that is, things that make you anxious. You can then either change what can be changed (for instance, if you find yourself becoming anxious after your morning coffee, you can cut back on caffeine), or mentally preparing yourself to deal with the anxiety provoking situations.

Anxiety Help - Anxiety Disorder - Physical Symptoms

Anxiety Disorder - Physical Symptoms

Ive been having trouble breathing, rapid heart beats, and Ive been totally out of breath whenever I do anything cardio such as even walking up a bunch of stairs.

But can anxiety cause you to feel totally lazy and winded and make your heart beat faster and tired? If this anxiety disorder continues, can I permanently damage my heart or lungs?

I hope I can help. Ordinarily, I am not a big fan of pharmaceuticals, but when I found myself in a similar predicament my doctor prescribed a low dosage anti-depressant and I was able to function until I could address the root cause of the anxiety disorder. A pill is by no means the answer, any more that a splint is the cure for a broken leg; but it can be of some temporary help.

You really should go to a mental health facility so you can get the right kind of treatment for anxiety and depression.

You should talk to a mental health therapist first and see if anti anxiety medication is right for you and if they think it is, then they will refer you to a psychiatrist in their agency.

Stress & Anxiety - Motivator or Hurdle?

How can stress and anxiety be a motivator for some and a giant hurdle for others?

I think some use that nervous energy from stress and anxiety and build themselves up for something - turn it into creative energy while others get so lost in the tension and stress that they can't focus enough - so it becomes a hurdle for them.

It depends on their mentality - a survivor or victim.

Alcohol and Anxiety: Alcohol Aggravates Anxiety Symptoms

Research suggests that the prevalence of alcohol dependence is twice as high in people with anxiety disorders than in the general population.

According to a recent report by the National Institute of Health (NIH), anxiety is a strong psychological risk factor associated with heavy or problem drinking. Other risk factors include an impulsive personality or a family history of alcohol abuse. When alcohol and anxiety are combined, there are many serious problems that occur.

People with anxiety may be tempted to drink before and/or during social engagements as it may initially decrease their anxiety.
