I have not officially been diagnosed with anxiety disorder, but have been known to have an anxiety attack when things get to be too much.
You also go through a bit of a strange sensation when you are in labor where your brain almost goes numb and it is difficult to think about anything. It is difficult to describe, but I think it all has to do with your body dealing with the pain.
I am a few days away from delivering my second child and have been getting nervous playing the waiting game and doing my best to talk myself out of a panic attack (I am the type of person who does not like surprises and likes to have things scheduled and planned and since I have no control over when I go into labor it is quite frustrating).

That depends what medication they give you for generalized anxiety disorder.
Usually they interfere with your sex drive, i.e. make it harder to become aroused and/or lower your desire for sex. However, they do not affect fertility. They also do not interact with hormone medications.

The doctors keep switching my anti anxiety medication and I feel it is making it worse.
You need to let your doctor know how you are feeling.
You shouldn't have to be switching anti anxiety medications all the time. This is not good for your system!

I totally agree that environment can cause anxiety.
My opinion is that people are very good at screwing up everything they come into contact with. Nature is perfection itself; unspoiled by our imperfection.

Storms are scary things for kids. Sometimes the news shows horrible storm damage that can really traumatize a kid and lead to anxiety attacks.
I also got books about storms. How they happen and what to do when one does. Sometimes we would pretend that there is a big storm outside and turn out the lights and do what we do if a real one was out there.

Anxiety Disorder & Polygraph Tests
Does anxiety disorder affect a polygraph test? My husband is being asked to take a polygraph test on something that he is innocent of. He has diagnosed anxiety disorder. Will that cause him to fail?
Just have your husband take his documentation of anxiety disorder diagnosis with him, and the tester will certainly be sure to take it into account.
I want to encourage you that if your husband has no reason to lie, he will most likely be fine on the test. Just be sure that they know ahead of time about his anxiety disorder.

Is Anxiety Normal for Healthcare Student?
I am currently a student in the healthcare industry and will be (along with doctors and others) responsible for the well being of many critical care patients in a hospital setting when I graduate. I chose this field because I love to help people and felt that I was wasting my love of science and problem solving on office jobs. Of course, as most health industry jobs, the pay is very good for the amount of schooling required and this contributed to my decision as well.
Do any other healthcare students have these fears and anxiety?
Everyone who's a decent person is going to have fears and anxiety like that. You'll have people you'll help treat and maybe it won't be perfect each time, but that's what the follow up is for.

Do statin drugs sometimes also cause depression and anxiety?
If you're taking statin drugs for a long period of time, yes, they could cause anxiety and depression.
Lipitor is bad stuff, and though most doctors I know agree with me, it still seems to be prescribed an awful lot.
