Anxiety Help - Cure for Anxiety & Panic Attacks

Cure for Anxiety & Panic Attacks

Is anxiety neurosis curable? How can I avoid anxiety and panic attacks? Is there a better way to live an anxiety-free life?

There is a way to manage anxiety and panic attacks. When you feel an attack coming on, focus on deep breathing and self-relaxing. Breathe in your nose and slowly exhale from your mouth. Make every muscle in your body feel relaxed. When it starts tell yourself that you have the power to stop this and believe it.

Ask yourself what brings on the anxiety and panic attacks and then make changes in your life. Before you go to sleep at night say to yourself, "I will no longer give power to those attacks. I will choose a life of peace, joy and happiness. I will no longer let fear control my life." Then go to sleep.

New Job - Anxiety Treatment

I recently started a supervisor job and am under a lot of stress. Whenever I get really stressed out, I feel nauseous and eventually throw up (only in the mornings). This isn't the first time I have been anxious to the point of nausea, but now it is happening everyday.

Bottom line, how can I deal with the nausea until I see the doctor in three weeks? Are herbal pills the only option now?

Here's a couple of anxiety treatments to try.

Anxiety Help - Successfully Cured Separation Anxiety

Successfully Cured Separation Anxiety

Has anyone successfully cured separation anxiety? I am pretty educated as far as dog behavior, learning theory, and desensitization, I just want to hear from people that have treated it successfully and what worked, what didn't.

My dog has serious separation anxiety. I spoke to a behaviorist who said my problem could possibly be solved with lots of time and money spent on training; trying things like leaving her for a few minutes, then returning. Then leaving for a few more minutes longer, and returning (so she learns that I'm coming back and not abandoning her).

For example, when you leave, don't pet the dog, hug it, say goodbye, or show any display of over-attention; maybe just say something neutral, like Stay.

Does this sound like anxiety and depression and do you take the same kind of medications for these problems?

It sounds like depression, but you really need to consult a psychologist or a psychiatrist. Do not go to your family doctor! They are not licensed to diagnose any type of mental illness and are too eager to hand out medications.

Please note that you may only have to take meds for a short period of time and not your whole life.

Social Anxiety Disorder: Dropping Out of the Mainstream

Can you imagine how humiliated and terrified you would be if every single time you were in a social situation you felt like everyone in the room was watching you, laughing at you and judging you?

Everyone is capable of getting a little nervous when giving a formal presentation or meeting people for the first time. But for the 10 million Americans with social anxiety disorder, certain situations are completely intolerable. Social anxiety disorder is the third most common mental health disorder, after major depression and substance abuse.

Miller notes that social anxiety can cause low self-esteem, depression, self-consciousness, avoidance, job limitations and lack of assertiveness, along with a myriad of other problems.

Travel Stress and Anxiety

To deal with the stress and anxiety of flying, work a lot a day before your flight and sleep less, so when you get in the airplane, you will feel so exhausted that you will fall sleep.

About being anxious in a new place, I don't know exactly what you can do. Most people feel this way about the unknown, it's normal. I would try to check over the net guides about the place, to get more familiar and make plans for where to go and what to do, this way, the trip can be more pleasurable with less travel stress and anxiety.
